Hi there! My name is Liam Morgan, although I tend to use the alias 'Litespeed' around the internet. I'm a resident of the UK, and I work primarily as a graphic designer, although other ambitions include work as a voice actor and a musician. At the present time, I am approaching the end of my second year in Sixth Form/College, with University looming in the distance. At present, I am studying Media Studies, English Literature and Performance Studies. At some point, I hope to move to the USA in pursuit of work and a different environment!
I became interested in drawing from a young age, and my love for drawing continued to grow over the years. Drawing eventually introduced me to the world of graphic design, and alongside teaching myself HTML and CSS coding since the age of 9, I have some knowledge about what I'm doing! So, Graphic and Website Design have become particular close interests to me. It was drawing that also lead me to the world of anime at the age of 14, and since then I have turned into quite the anime fan.
My interest in anime opened up the idea of Voice Acting, and thus I regularly take part in fan-projects at the Voice Acting Alliance forums, allowing me to slowly develop my skills, and gain some insight into the field - be sure to take a look at my Character Demo! Alongside Voice Acting, I have some experience with theatre work, performing three times in productions by amateur dramatics group The Thalians.
My newest interest is in the music field. I'm a regular listener to music, enjoying Rock, Alternative and Japanese music. Since 2008, I've been teaching myself to play the bass guitar, and I'd be very interested in learning the guitar and piano at a future point in time. I also enjoy singing, so whether or not I hang up the bass to focus on vocals in a band is still to be decided.
Outside of career fields, I'm very much into anime fandom - I collect figures, draw fanart and original characters for my own stories, collect manga and anime boxsets, plays many Japanese (and Western!) games and regularly attends Anime Expos in London. Expanding into the anime career field, in which I became interested in voice acting, I discovered anime radio show 91.8 The Fan, for which I now work as a Sound Engineer, making audio promos for the radio, and hopefully looking to become a DJ at some point in the near future!
getIGNITED acts as my online portfolio, featuring artwork, design work, my acting resume, voice acting demos and - eventually - music samples. My blog, blog@getIGNITED, meanwhile is home to everything else that I do, including various reviews of games and music concerts and whatever else I happen to be interested in. And with that out of the way, you are free to explore!
